Gina Montgomery, a Richmond, VA resident, brings 14 years of coaching experience to her role as the Conference 4 Director (Richmond) on the Basketball Coaches Association of Virginia (BCAV) Executive Board. Her extensive background in basketball and commitment to the sport make her a valuable asset to the organization. Currently serving as the Varsity Head Coach for James River High School (Midlothian) Girls Basketball, Gina's coaching journey spans both AAU and high school programs, working with both boys and girls teams. This diverse experience has given her a comprehensive understanding of player development and program management across various levels of competition. In addition to her high school coaching role, Gina runs a large AAU organization in the Philadelphia area as the Executive Director, showcasing her leadership skills and dedication to fostering young talent beyond Virginia's borders. AS the BCAV Conference 4 Director representing Richmond, Coach Montgomery is poised to make significant contributions to the growth and development of basketball in the region. Her role allows her to support and connect with coaches across the Richmond area, sharing her expertise and passion for the game. Off the court, Gina is a proud mother of two sons and a self-proclaimed "football mom." Her love for sports extends to her personal life, where she shares a home with her fiancé, Major, a professional referee, two sons and their dog, Mick. This blend of personal and professional involvement in sports gives Gina a unique perspective on the impact of athletics on family and community life. Driven by her commitment to growing the sport and developing youth, Coach Montgomery continually strives to make a positive impact on the basketball community. Her involvement with the BCAV reflects her dedication to advancing basketball and supporting fellow coaches throughout Virginia, while her personal life underscores her understanding of the important role sports play in shaping young lives.
