Renee Favaro (formerly Guilliams) is in her 17th season of coaching. Coach Favaro played her high school career at Lord Botetourt High School, where she currently is the head varsity coach.
After Lord Botetourt, she continued her career at Division II Francis Marion University in Florence, SC, graduating in 2008.
Favaro has coached high school for 16 years and spent the other year coaching in college. After eight seasons assisting Chuck Pound and helping aid the team to a state title in 2018 as an assistant, she took over as head coach of Lord Botetourt High School in 2019. In her inaugural season, she led the team to 2020 State Co-Champions and was named district, region, state, and Timesland coach of the year.
Favaro also served as a travel basketball coach and director for over five years. She organized and ran a SWVA Fall League for over a decade, hosting 20+ teams per night. In her years of coaching, she has had over 40 players go on to play collegiate basketball. When Favaro is not coaching, she spends her time with her two children and husband.
